Donnerdeal's somewhat confusing Black Friday Sale

Donnerdeal has unveiled their Black Friday deals, and they're kinda all over the place.

First up are the daily flash deals. These will occur only on three select days, and is limited to the first 50 customers. It's a bit strange, as none of these deals seem so great that they should be limited to a single day, or to a limited number of buyers.

On Nov 23, the Yellow Fall delay will be $20
On Nov 24, the Alpha Cruncher will be $40 and the DP-2 power supply will be $25
On Nov 27 (yup, they're just gonna skip ahead three days), the DP-1 power supply will be $30

On November 20 and 21, Hotone pedals will be 35% off with the code ZPCEVRVQWDCQ. This one is actually interesting, as Donnerdeal already has some of the lowest prices for this brand at $49.99 to $69.99 depending on the exact pedal. The discount would bring those prices down to $32.50 to $45.50. Also noteworthy is that in the Black Friday ad, a Valeton pedal is shown alongside the Hotones, which suggests Valeton pedals could also be part of the 35% off sale, even though it's not specifically stated.

On November 22 to 27, guitar pedals, accessories and power supplies are up to 30% off. The exact discount for each product isn't revealed yet, though the ad shows the DP-1 power supply at $30, which oddly enough is also what's advertised as the flash deal for November 27 earlier in the ad.

On November 28 to 30, pedalboards are 25% off. This one is definitely worth noting if you're in need of a pedalboard - their largest one, measuring 20" x 12", will be selling for $51, and includes velcro and a carrying case.

All orders over $45 will receive a gift chosen at random - the possible gifts seem to be a tin of picks, a guitar cable, a capo or a t-shirt. You'll also receive a $12 coupon on your next order over $150. This is another odd thing I find about this sale - given the store's low prices, hitting $150 in a single order would be a bit of a task, and a 8% discount isn't a particularly attractive reward for doing so. No days were given on when this promotion occurs.

Lastly, the largest order (no dates given on this one either) will win the DWS-2 wireless system. The second largest will win a Page Turner Pedal, and the third largest a Hotone Pedal priced below $59.99. The weird thing about this one is that the third-place prize would probably be of the most value to most guitarists. The first-place prize is only desirable if you're planning to go wireless, and the second-place prize is basically a tablet accessory to scroll through pages.

Donnerdeal Halloween Sale

Donnerdeal is having a Halloween sale, with select products around 10% to 15% off their regular prices. Of interest here is a $70 isolated power supply, as well as Hotone pedals priced between $42.50 and $59.50.

The sale ends October 31st

Donnerdeal China National Day sale

Donnerdeal is holding a sale in celebration of China's National Day, despite the fact that China's National Day isn't until next month. There's nothing too exciting, but the DB-3 pedalboard is a 20"x12" board for only $60 and the Yellow Fall is as solid a generic PT2399 delay as there is.

Morpher distortion - $23
Yellow Fall delay - $25
Tutti Love chorus - $28.99
Alpha Cruncher - $50

DB-3 pedalboard - $60

DP-2 power supply - $38

The sale ends September 27

Donnerdeal Back to School sale

Donnerdeal is having a back to school sale, because that's exactly the type of sale one would hold in the middle of summer. Many of the items are between 10% to 20% off, but the standouts are the their pedalboards, the largest of which is 20" x 12" and comes with velcro and a carrying bag for $60, and the new isolated power supplies, which come in a $78 version as well as a $88 version. Both have eight outputs (six 9V, one 12V and one 18V), but the more expensive model allows you to switch the higher voltage outputs down to 9V, and has two 9V outputs that can be sagged down to 4V using a knob.

Additionally, you can also save $5 on orders over $80 with the code CR2NAYMGQHE0, $12 off orders over $100 with code 0543619WCA9M or $20 off orders over $150 with code Q02PKZ6PG3V6

Last and certainly least, you'll also receive a free gift of either a guitar pick, a guitar pick necklace or a 15cm guitar cable on all orders over $40

The sale ends on August 22, so you've got quite some time before it ends.

Donnerdeal is celebrating their 4th year in business and you can get 20% off pedal orders over $30 with the code 310TYTGY# (expires March 12)

The only two pedals currently under $30 at Donnerdeal are the Giant Metal (Metal Muff clone) and the tuner, so most orders should hit that $30 mark easily.

Additionally, the first ten orders on March 10th will also get a free Donner Ultimate Comp compressor pedal. In related news, Donner apparently has a new compressor pedal called the Ultimate Comp.

New Donner pedals

Donnerdeal is introducing four new pedals in September.

The Wah Maker is auto-wah pedal. This could based off Mooer's Funky Monkey.

The Grey Pitch is a pitch shifter. This could be a modified version of Mooer's Pitch Box, but with the addition of Dry and Wet knobs.

The Holy Octave is an EHX POG-style polyphonic octaver. This would be an interesting pedal to keep an eye on, as octave pedals generally don't come this cheap ($50)

The Looper is, well, a looper. This could be based on Mooer's new micro looper, although that pedal has 30 minutes of loop time, whereas Donner's has 10.

Donner clone list

Donner is the store brand for Donnerdeal, a well-known seller of Chinese pedals. There are no original pedals - all are either Mooer/Rowin or Nux pedals with a new paintjob. The mini pedals can be considered an especially good deal since they have the workmanship and consistency of a Mooer, but about half the price tag, with most falling in the $30-$35 range on Amazon.
