Behringer pedals clone list

Behringer is a German company, although its products are made in China. They are known mostly for their Boss pedal clones - even the enclosures are of a similar design. Behringer pedals can be risky to deal with, as there are complaints with quality control, sound and tone suckage. The plastic enclosures are also usually bought up as a concern, though reports of the plastic body actually breaking aren't very common.

Cheapest true analog delay pedals

The following is a list of inexpensive true analog delay pedals under $100 new. These pedals use true bucket brigade chips, rather than analog-voiced chips such as the PT2399.

BBE Two Timer
Usually around $75 on Amazon

Provides up to 330ms of delay. Its unique feature is that it has two time knobs, and a footswitch that allows you to switch between the two settings.

Behringer Vintage Delay VD400
$25

The cheapest true analog delay, and by quite some distance. It uses a Coolaudio V3205 chip, and provides up to 300ms of delay.

Behringer Vintage Time Machine VM1
$50

A supposed EHX Deluxe Memory Man clone, the VM1 provides up to 550ms of delay, as well as options for chorus and vibrato. Known to have some tone-suckage problems.

Electro-Harmonix Memory Toy
$90

Has a modulation switch and up to 550ms of delay time. This is the most expensive pedal on this list, but could also be argued as the safest option since it comes from a reputable company and has a familiar sound.

Mooer Ana Echo
$60

The smallest analog delay on this list, and the only Chinese "mini pedal" that's a true analog delay. Uses a Coolaudio V3205 chip, and provides up to 300ms of delay.

Rifftone RT-2 Mantra
Around $57

Uses two Coolaudio V3205 chips and provides up to 600ms of delay time. The Rifftone Mantra is a rebranded XinSound Pro DL-99B sold by The Earth City Sound Company, a long time American seller of Chinese pedals. Therefore, you'll only find this pedal at their Amazon, eBay and Reverb stores. There is also a 300ms version of this pedal called XinSound Pro DL-99A, but neither XinSound pedal seem to be commonly sold.

Vox Double Deca
Usually around $80 on Amazon

Usually sells for around $150 at American stores, but for some reason costs around $80 from Japanese sellers on Amazon. Uses three Coolaudio V3205 chips. It features a modulation knob, as well as a toggle to choose between "short", "long" or "both" time settings. It provides up to 300ms in short mode and 900ms in long mode. The "both" mode uses both delays at the same time. The ability to use modulation and two different delays at once might make this the one of most interest to more experimental/ambient players.
